Built by a local venue owner who was tired of deal sites.
Tidepass started in Oceanside, from someone who runs real local venues: Ragescape and Chopscape on Oceanside Blvd. We know what it's like to get a pile of deal-site vouchers and wonder how we'll cover payroll that week.
To be upfront: the owner of Tidepass also owns Ragescape and Chopscape, which are listed here. Their pages say so, and they follow the same rules, fees and ranking as every other venue.
So we built the deal we'd want. Guests save a flat $10. Venues keep their prices and only pay when someone actually walks in. Locals who send them get a fair cut.
We prove visits with our own system: a unique pass, a check-in at the front desk, and reviews only from people who were there. No booking-system keys. No guest card numbers. As little guest data as we can manage.
