How Tidepass works
You get $10 off. The venue gets a real guest. The local who sent you gets a thank-you. Here's the whole thing, start to finish.
Step by step
Find an experience
Look around Explore, follow a local creator's picks, or scan the QR card at your hotel, vacation rental or favorite local business.
Get your $10 pass
Tap Get my $10 pass. Pick the experience, date and party size. You get a pass code and a QR code. If a creator, host or business sent you, they get credit automatically.
Book with the venue
Book the way you normally would, with the venue's own booking link. If they take promo codes online, enter your pass code there.
Check in when you arrive
Scan the check-in QR at the front desk. Or open your pass and tap I'm here after scanning. Your pass turns green and says Checked in.
Save your $10
Show the green pass at the counter for $10 off. If you used the code online, it's already applied.
Leave a review if you like
After your visit you can leave a short review. It shows up as a Verified visit, because it is one.
The fine print, in plain words
The offer: $10 off when your party spends $40 or more at the venue’s regular prices, before tax and tip. Alcohol doesn’t count toward the minimum and can’t be discounted. One pass per party, per venue, per day. No cash value; not for sale. Some venues give more off bigger bills, shown on their listing.
Your party needs to spend at least $40 at the venue's regular prices, before tax and tip. Alcohol doesn't count toward the $40 and isn't discounted.
One pass per party, per venue, per day.
It doesn't stack with the venue's other discounts, unless the venue says it does.
Your pass works on its date only. You can change the date any time before then.
You must check in at the venue for the $10 off to count.
The pass is free to grab, with the conditions above. You pay the venue for your experience, not us. No cash value. Not for sale.
Questions
What if I forget to check in?
Ask the front desk for the check-in QR before you pay. The $10 off needs a checked-in pass.
Can I change my date?
Yes. Open your pass and change the date any time before the day it's set for.
I lost my pass. Now what?
Open My passes on the same phone and browser you used. If you added an email, the pass is in your inbox too.
Does the whole group need a pass?
No. One pass covers your whole party at that venue that day.
Do creators, hosts or businesses pay extra to send me?
No. Tidepass pays them out of its own revenue. Your price is the same either way.
What if the venue won't honor my pass?
Tap Report on your pass. We look into every report, and it counts against the venue's trust score.
Why do some listings say Sponsored?
Venues can pay for a labeled Sponsored spot. It never changes the regular results, a venue's trust score or its reviews. Every venue follows the same pass rules.
Why doesn't my drink count?
State alcohol laws limit discounts and fees tied to alcohol sales. So at every venue, alcohol doesn't count toward the $40 and isn't discounted. You still get the $10 off everything else.
Ready when you are.
Pick a spot and grab your pass. It takes about a minute.
